Larry Weitzner | CEO

Larry Weitzner is the CEO of Jamestown Associates, one of the nation’s premier political consulting firms specializing in television advertising, campaign strategy, direct mail, and issue communications. Jamestown’s team consists of award-winning editors, designers, and top-tier political strategists from across the country.

Larry was the lead ad maker for the Donald J. Trump for President campaign. The ads produced by Jamestown helped Donald Trump achieve a historic upset in 2016, and a two-minute ad by Jamestown called “Argument for America” received over 8 million views on YouTube – more than any other ad produced by either campaign. Time Magazine ranked two of Jamestown’s ads among “the most notable” of 2016.

In 2018, Larry produced the TV ads for Republican Governor Charlie Baker’s reelection campaign in the deep blue state of Massachusetts, which saw Governor Baker win re-election with over 65% of the vote – the highest percentage for a candidate for Governor of Massachusetts since 1994. In 2014, Baker was first elected with Larry’s help, including an ad that was dubbed the first ever “selfie” ad.

Charlie Baker’s 2018 re-election, along with the re-election of Jamestown client Chris Sununu, marked a new milestone for Larry: having produced ads for Governors George Pataki, Jodi Rell, Chris Christie, Sununu, and Baker, Larry has now helped elect more Republican Governors in the Northeast than any other media consultant in the past 30 years.

Jamestown’s ads have been featured on Meet the Press, ABC, NBC and CBS Nightly News, Crossfire, Hannity, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Campaigns and Elections, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and many other news and political publications around the country.

Larry has a bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and a law degree from Seton Hall University. He and his wife Jackie have two children.


Barney Keller | Partner

Barney Keller is a Partner at Jamestown Associates, and an award-winning Republican media strategist. 

In 2018, Barney was the lead media strategist for the campaign of United States Senator Mike Braun. An unknown businessman, Barney’s ad campaign helped Braun go from zero in the polls to defeating two incumbent members of Congress in a Republican primary. One of the ads Barney produced for Braun – depicting the two incumbent Congressmen as “cardboard cutouts” – was called “one of the best ads in Indiana political history” by the local media and was named one of Roll Call’s “5 Best Campaign ads of 2018.” Braun’s campaign went on to decisively defeat the incumbent Democratic Senator in a race that ultimately ended up costing $112 million between the candidates and outside groups – making Braun the only candidate in the country that year to win a tough primary and then beat an incumbent Democrat.

Barney’s other clients have included people like Governor Chris Sununu (NH), Congressman Trey Hollingsworth (IN), and Congressman Mark Green (TN) and he has produced dozens of ads and direct mail pieces for independent expenditure campaigns, issue advocacy groups, and ballot measures. In 2016 Barney also produced the winning TV ads and direct mail for Congressman Warren Davidson (OH). In less than three months Davidson, who started as an unknown businessman, came from behind to win a 20-candidate special election to replace Speaker John Boehner in the House of Representatives.

Barney came to Jamestown after serving four years as the Communications Director of the Club for Growth. During his tenure at the Club, Barney helped lead the organization’s political activity, and acted as their primary spokesman. Prior to joining the Club for Growth, Barney served as the Deputy Communications Director on Pat Toomey’s winning campaign for U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania. He also worked on Rick Lazio’s campaign for Governor of New York, and was Communications Director at the Massachusetts Republican Party, and Press Secretary at the New Hampshire Republican Party. He got his start in politics as Press Secretary on Jim Ogonowski’s campaign for Congress in Massachusetts.

A communications and political expert, Barney has been quoted by The New York Times, Boston Globe, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, and newspapers across the country. He’s been a guest on FOX News, FOX Business Channel, MSNBC, and other TV news outlets. 

A native of Belmont, Massachusetts, Barney graduated from the University of Chicago with degrees in both Economics and Sociology. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, daughter, and dog. 


Jon Kohan | Partner

Jon Kohan is a Partner at Jamestown Associates and one of the top general consultants in the country. In the past three cycles Jon has led some of the most nationally watched US Senate campaigns across the country and was previously named “Campaign Manager of the Year” by the American Association of Political Consultants.

In 2018, Kohan served as the general consultant for Mike Braun’s winning campaign for the US Senate in Indiana. Senator Braun’s outsider campaign upended conventional wisdom to soundly defeat two incumbent Congressmen in the primary and trounce the incumbent Democratic US Senator in the general. He also served as the general consultant to Leah Vukmir’s US Senate campaign in Wisconsin, who convincingly won the GOP nomination despite being outspent by more than $10 million.

In 2016, Kohan led Senator Kelly Ayotte’s re-election effort in New Hampshire, the most expensive per capita U.S. Senate race in American history – totaling nearly $130 million spent when the dust settled. In this capacity, he managed a $17.7 million budget and a team of 35 full-time and over 200 part-time staff that raised over $14 million, served 130 million targeted impressions on TV and online, and made 1.3 million voter contacts in a state roughly the same size.

In 2014, Kohan managed Senator Joni Ernst’s electrifying victory in Iowa, earning him the Campaign Manager of the Year honors from the AAPC. He went on to serve as Senator Ernst’s Deputy Chief of Staff, and still helps manage her political activities.

In 2013, Kohan managed Congressman Mark Sanford’s impressive come-from-behind special election victory in South Carolina, despite being outspent two-to-one. Campaigns & Elections Magazine named him a Rising Star after orchestrating Sanford’s astonishing victory. He went on to serve as Sanford’s Chief of Staff, managing 16 staffers across three offices.

In 2012, Kohan worked at Jamestown as an account executive, and prior to that worked on campaigns in New Jersey and served as a staffer in the U.S. House of Representatives for former U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance. 

A native of New Jersey, Kohan graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University, and currently resides in North Carolina with his wife Brittany, who attends Divinity School.


Lisa Morrison | COO

Lisa Morrison serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Jamestown Associates.

As COO, Lisa is responsible for crafting and implementing Jamestown’s executive vision. Managing firmwide operations across creative, media, administrative and political departments, Lisa ensures that every single client is treated with the consistent excellence and standard-setting professionalism that defines the Jamestown approach.

Lisa joined Jamestown in 2005 and has over a decade of extensive political, media and management experience. Over the course of her career, she has helped lead clients at all levels of government to victory in a variety of states, including New Jersey, Florida, Connecticut, Illinois, and Michigan, among others. Lisa has also worked directly with gubernatorial, senatorial, congressional and issue campaigns across the country and led the production of persuasive creative media for Jamestown’s corporate and governmental clients.

Lisa graduated cum laude in history from Bob Jones University, and lives with her husband in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.


Ben Hartman | Executive Vice President

Ben Hartman joined Jamestown Associates as the firm’s Executive Vice President after successfully managing Governor Matt Bevin’s campaign in Kentucky. With Ben’s help, Gov. Bevin became only the second Republican to hold that office in 44 years, and his running mate, Lt. Gov. Jenean Hampton, became the first African-American ever to be elected statewide.

Before the big win in Kentucky, Ben was the Campaign Manager for Texas Congressman Randy Weber, who replaced retiring Congressman Ron Paul, as well as U.S. Senate candidate Milton Wolf in Kansas. In addition, he worked as a field operative for Congressmen Michael McCaul and Bill Flores in Texas, and managed the Victory Operation of the Connecticut Republican Party.

Among Ben’s biggest accomplishments since joining Jamestown was assisting the independent expenditure effort that helped flip the Kentucky House of Representatives from Democrat to Republican control for the first time since 1921.

Ben Hartman is a veteran of the United States Navy. A native of Houston, Texas, he now lives in Austin.
