Carlos Cruz | Executive Vice President

Carlos Cruz is an Executive Vice President at Jamestown Associates. With more than a decade of political experience at the local, state, and national level, Carlos has served in key leadership roles on a number of high-profile campaigns of national consequence.

In his time at Jamestown, Carlos produced ads in some of the most closely watched races of the last few years, crafting TV ads for Brandon Williams in NY-22 as well as playing a key role in New Jersey’s historic 2021 election, serving as a media consultant in Legislative Districts 1, 2, and 11. 

In 2020, Carlos worked on Jamestown’s ad team for President Trump, and as a part of the Hispanic advertising team, cut compelling ads that helped lay the groundwork for the President’s improvement with Hispanic voters.

Prior to joining Jamestown, Carlos spent several cycles in Iowa and New Hampshire, serving in key leadership positions on campaigns of national consequence. In the 2018 cycle, Carlos served as the Republican National Committee’s Iowa State Director. 

In the 2016 election cycle, Carlos worked to establish, cultivate, and lead the Eastern Iowa political operation for Governor Scott Walker’s presidential campaign. Carlos then when on to  serve as Statewide Field Director for Senator Ayotte’s reelection campaign, leading a full-time statewide staff of sixteen and a part- time staff of over two hundred in making more than one million voter contacts in one of the closest and most expensive U.S Senate races in the country. 

Carlos cut his teeth in New Jersey politics – working on Donna Simon’s 2013 campaign, where she overcame $2 million in outside spending to win a district that President Obama won the year before with 53%. Carlos also managed Congressman Leonard Lance’s successful campaign in 2012, navigating a tough primary and defeating a well-funded general election opponent in a newly drawn congressional district.

A North Jersey native, Carlos now lives in the Philadelphia suburbs with his family and their dog.
