Since 1990, Larry Weitzner has worked as a political, strategic and public policy consultant to campaigns, businesses, political and civic organizations. He is CEO of the firm Jamestown Associates, one of the nation’s premier political consulting firms, specializing in television advertising, campaign strategy, direct mail and issue communications.
Bringing together a team of award-winning editors and designers along with top-tier political strategists across the country, Weitzner has created one of the largest media infrastructures in Republican politics – stretching across Princeton, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Tallahassee, Baton Rouge, and Austin.
In 2009 and in 2013 Weitzner served as part of the media team and produced direct mail for Governor Chris Christie. Christie defeated incumbent Jon Corzine in 2009 and won re-election in 2013 against Democrat Barbara Buono in record fashion, winning a broad coalition of Republicans, independents, Democrats, Hispanics and African Americans. Christie is the first Republican in New Jersey to win statewide in twelve years.
With November’s stunning election of Charlie Baker in Massachusetts, Jamestown Associates has helped elect more Republican governors in the Northeast than any other political firm in the nation.
Jamestown’s list of clients spans the United States and includes Governors Charlie Baker, Chris Christie, George Pataki, Jodi Rell, and Linda Lingle, the Republican Jewish Coalition, the US Chamber of Commerce, Club for Growth, Republican National Committee, George P. Bush, Congressmen Richard Hanna, Tim Walberg, Fred Upton, Mark Sanford, Roger Williams, Sam Johnson, Leonard Lance, Dennis Ross, Ron DeSantis, and Connie Mack, and Congresswomen Mary Bono Mack, Nancy Johnson and Nan Hayworth. It also includes major corporations and government agencies like Pfizer, Johnson and Johnson, and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
Weitzner and Jamestown have also done work on behalf of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Likud Party and for the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.
In 2012, Jamestown partnered with the Republican Jewish Coalition to write and produce the award-winning short form documentary “Perilous Times.” A film discussing the current U.S.-Israel relationship.
Since 1995, Weitzner has provided support to Richard and Maureen Kanka, helping them successfully lobby for the adoption of a national Megan’s Law and raise money for the Megan Nicole Kanka Foundation.
Weitzner has been sought out as a political commentator and has been interviewed by several major television shows and quoted in such newspapers as The New York Times, The Star-Ledger, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Roll Call and The Washington Post. The ads Jamestown has produced are talked about across the media, having been featured on Meet the Press, ABC, NBC and CBS Nightly News, Crossfire, Hannity, Hardball with Chris Matthews, Campaigns and Elections, The New York Times, The Washington Post and many other news and political publications.
Weitzner has a Bachelor’s degree from Lehigh University and a Law degree from Seton Hall University. He and his wife Jackie have two children, Greg and Perry.
